Each fall, a remarkable journey unfolds across South Texas as thousands of monarch butterflies travel through the region on their migration south. Living in South Texas, I have always looked forward to this special time of year. While much of the country welcomes fall with brilliant displays of changing leaves, our season arrives in a different way—through warm sunshine, golden rod blooms, and the arrival of migrating monarchs. These annual visitors mark the transition of the seasons and create cherished memories that are uniquely tied to this landscape.
Monarch Passage was inspired by the wonder of these migrations and the beauty of the Texas coast they travel through. Monarch butterflies, native wildflowers, delicate botanicals, and nature-inspired coordinates come together to celebrate the quiet beauty of autumn in South Texas.
